Our unique production techniques ensure that substrate blocks for blueberries are well draining and homogenous across the whole growing area to aid irrigation strategies. Open Top Containers
Open Top Containers (OTCs) are popular amongst blueberry growers as they give a controlled environment for precision growing. The homogenous distribution of different particle sizes within the substrate means that growers will see even and fast root development, leading to healthier plants and increased crop yields. Coir OTC’s are dried and compressed during production to give easy transport, storage and handling.
Mix Specifications
Designed to give young blueberry crops the best start, we have three different blueberry coir mixes offering different characteristics to suit grower preference and local climate. The specifically chosen particle sizes give rapid hydration and a stable structure for the long cropping period of blueberry plants. We recommend our very clean product washed and/or buffered products with elevated levels of calcium to aid rooting in and promote healthy root growth and high yielding plants.
