What is your job role at Botanicoir?

I look after the RPC Raw material Processing Centre (RPC) which I’m in charge of ensuring we produce consistently top-quality coir grow bags.

How long have you worked for the company?

In 2005, shortly after the company was founded.

What is the best thing about your job?

Without a doubt, helping the people we work with to develop their skills.

I get a lot of enjoyment from helping individuals to grow and develop a passion for delivering a quality product. It is very satisfying to watch them grow as individuals and as a team with a sense of pride.

I also like a challenge and enjoy achieving our targets even when faced with challenging circumstances. At the moment we are producing more product, and we have to ensure that it meets our strict quality parameters.

How would you describe your day-to-day work?

My day is very varied.

It includes meeting with both the production and quality teams, checking on the coconut plantation, managing the process and making sure we meet frequently to discuss ongoing projects, new projects and research and development. Communication and innovation are crucial.

How do you describe your job to your friends?

Challenging but rewarding. Never a dull moment!

Sharing my experience and passion for quality

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Music and gardening
